Goldmen Incorporated was a humble investment group founded by Larry Goldmen in 1882, a former member of the Cinncinati Red Stockings. Being the forefront of many historical events that would shatter the company (i.e. The Great Depression, World War II, etc.) Goldmen time and again proved themselves as resiliant. But as many companies leading into the latter half of the 20th century faced, corruption was an unbeatable foe to the holding company. In 1976 two spies who were working for Goldmen were caught with sensitive documents belonging to many of their investors which they had intentions of selling to foreign groups. This soon spilled over into a court hearing and investigation which discovered multiple instances of white collar crime committed, as a result the then under fire Sheldon Goldmen was charged a fine of up to 7.8 million dollars in damages and a banishment from doing business in New York until the year 2000. Since then, Goldmen Inc. Has continued doing business, albeit more militaristically after the Koch presidency, operating out of Fort Myers Florida, where Sheldon in his lavish cushy home operates his corporate dynasty.
